An independent creative studio
Working across photography, tactile objects, printed editions, and digital companions, the studio follows ideas through different materials and forms. A weathered surface, an unfamiliar shape, or light moving across water can become a starting point.

Nature informs our work through its textures, irregularities, and unexpected relationships. We’re drawn to things that invite a closer look—objects with character, images that hold a moment, and everyday experiences approached with greater intention. Experimentation is part of the process. We leave room for an idea to change as it takes shape, allowing the material and the making to influence what comes next. The result is an evolving collection of original works and uncommon goods: some practical, some expressive, each carrying a little of the curiosity that brought it into being. |

Behind Odd Root Studio are a husband and wife, brought together by a shared curiosity for making things. What began with botanical offerings and rituals rooted in heritage has evolved into a wider exploration of art, objects, and the beautifully unexpected. Our work moves between mediums, drawing inspiration from nature, cultural influences, personal histories, and the little details of everyday life. From thoughtfully made wellness offerings and sculptural objects to original artwork and digital creations, we embrace the freedom to experiment, follow unexpected ideas, and make things that feel both personal and purposeful. We don’t believe creativity needs to fit neatly into one category. Sometimes the most interesting things grow from the most unexpected places. |
